What would we do without it and the people who help manage it?

The Hall is managed by trustees as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation or CIO, which is a type of recent legal format for a registered charity.  The group of  Trustees are charged with overseeing and directing the Village Hall for the benefit of the people of Great Massingham and neighbouring villages.

The current Trustees (March 2022) are – Tina Andrew, Diane Curson, Maxine Pratt, Philip Ward and Vaughan Woodbridge.  These join the Trustees nominated by affiliated bodies, Kim Frazer (Parish Council), Deb Lambert (The Hall Bar), Jim Ryan (Sports & Social Club) and Trustees, yet to be nominated by the Bowls Club and the Football Club.

The Hall has excellent, up to date facilities that, besides the Hall, include a Snooker & Billiards Room, well maintained outdoor bowls green, quality Tennis courts with outdoor lighting and a thriving Tennis and Multisports Club, basketball/netball court, outdoor gym, up to date outdoor children’s play equipment, pétanque pitch, large field & football pitch called the Jubilee field and a large bar area equipped with wide screen TV and WiFi.

The Hall Bar is administered by the Community Interest Company (CIC) whose Directors are appointed by the Trustees of the CIO.  The purpose of the CIC is to maintain and improve the Hall Bar for its members and guests and to provide funds for the CIO. Debs Lambert is Premises’ Manager and licence holder of the Bar. She can be contacted on 01485 520 588 or greatmassinghamvillagehall@gmail.com
